1. Sainik Seva Samiti is an Association of Persons with a common intent towards welfare of Veteran Community. The Aim as laid down in the AOP is 

2.     SSS lays down rules for eligibility of members and is empowered to deal with external agencies for supporting health care of members .

3.    ODIN is a brokerage service that interacts with various insurance companies to obtain  offers for group insurance as required by our organization. Mostly what we get is an offer tailor made for the composition of our group and the resources we have like ECHS cover.

4. Magma General Insurance Ltd   They provide the insurance Cover.

5. Volo  TPA  (Erstwhile East West Assist) . It is a  third party administrator  , hired by the insurer for servicing the clients.

As members , or the insured , we will need to deal only with Volo TPA for all services related to health cover assured by our insurance policy issued by Magma. Odin assists the member in case there is any issue that cannot be satisfactorily resolved by Volo TPA.

A point to note is that every year SSS has to  call for offers / negotiate for a brokering service, for insurer and for TPA.

It is desirable to continue with the same entities , however competition provides for better terms and conditions as against monopoly by one Entity .

    This initiative is a life saver for the veteran community as ECHS exists only in name in most of the places as most of the front line multi speciality hospitals have disempanelled from ECHS ! However high claim ratio in SSS scheme is a problem ! Where facilities are available members should first utilise ECHS and keep this as stand by !

      Very true.

      How I wish every Veteran thinks your way. It will be a win win for all. Same or lower premium, more Veterans join in and SSS’s innovative idea
      ( Membership Tree) of taking every one along works to fruition –
      to the satisfaction of all.

    Simply awesome experience with SSS n their dedicated staff.
    When I start explaining to my close relatives about SSS and their
    zeal to help Veterans ( showing the Membership Tree) the first
    question they ask is — “Wow, but *Why* and how can they
    sustain?”
    My plain answer to them is – please, slightly modify your
    question – “Wow, what an innovative thought. May God bless the
    AOP — SSS and may their cherished dream fructify”.
    I sign off with a dream, if SSS can grow well by grace of God, it may
    even become a “ Torch Bearer” in Gp Medical Insurance ever run by Defence Veterans.
