Graduate of Armed Forces medical College, a Submariner and Diver. He took premature voluntary retirement in 1983. Worked with Offshore Oil Industry as Diving Medicine expert providing emergency care. Received awards from Soc. for Underwater Technology , UK, NUTEC Norway, ONGC for proficiency. Also a recipient of CNS and FOC-in-C (West) commendation. Carried out Compressed Air Civil Engineering work for Metro rail construction in Chennai, Bangalore, Kolkata and Ahmedabad. Hong Kong and Mumbai the work is ongoing. Has published many professional articles in International journals and conferences.
