Born in Pathankot on 08 August 1945. Went to Glancy Medical College Amritsar for pursuing Medical degree from 1962 to 1967. Did a short stint in PCMS as Assistant Civil Surgeon Kapurthala before being commissioned in the Indian Navy on 11th September 1968. Served in various hospitals and ships including Nilgiri, Vikrant and Viraat. Was commissioning crew of INS Viraat was nominated for the First Naval Higher Command Course at Karanja. Retired on 31st Aug 2004 from the Indian Navy on superannuation and then served as Secretary Indian Red Cross Society, Punjab Branch from 2005 to 20011. Now settled in Delhi leading a retired life.
